Greenpeace expedition to Arctic Svalbard

The swell observed through the porthole on a lower deck of the Arctic Sunrise. The photographer held back seasickness to take photographs through the portholes in bad weather, as the waves hurled agains the side of the ship. Icebreakers (because of their short keel) are not famous for giving a smooth ride for the passengers in haevy seas. The Arctic Sunrise (though brilliant in the sea ice) is no exception.
